Dental Sealants

A dental sealant is a tooth-colored resin coating that is painted into the surface of teeth to protect deep grooves in the teeth from plaque, acids, and food particles that can cause cavities. Sealants are safe and effective for children and adults who need added protection from cavities due to the shape of their teeth or being cavity-prone. The procedure is very short and can be applied for any tooth in questions.  The sealant procedure does not require numbing and can provide several years of protection before it needs to be reapplied.
